Kick-off
STEP 1

Coffee in the dunes

We started where it happens: at a table at Paal 28, looking out over the North Sea. Who comes here, why do they return and what makes this pavilion different from every other beach bar on Texel? That conversation became the brand story: down to earth, warm and inseparable from the beach.

Strategy
STEP 2

Story, structure & findability

Plan first, pixels later. We defined the page structure, pavilion, menu, events, weddings and reservations, and picked the keywords guests actually search for: beach restaurant Texel, lunch by the sea, party on the beach. Every page got its own goal and its own call-to-action.

STEP 3

Our own shoot on location

No stock photos of a random beach. We shot all the photography ourselves: dishes up close, guests with sand on their feet, the terrace in golden hour and the sky breaking open after a shower. Captured at different moments of the day, so the pavilion has honest imagery all season long.

Design
STEP 4

A website that smells like the sea

The design follows the imagery: plenty of space, big photos, calm typography and sand tones that let the beach speak. Designed mobile-first, because most guests search on their phone, often already on their way to the beach.

STEP 5

Build, speed & reservations

Built lightning fast with clean SEO tags, schema.org markup for a restaurant, opening hours and location. Reserve, call and directions always one tap away, and the menu easy to update for a new seasonal card.

Launch
STEP 6

Live and instantly findable

Domain connected, SSL active, sitemap submitted and the Google business profile in order. The site is optimized for Google and for AI search engines like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, so Paal 28 gets named when someone asks where to eat by the sea on Texel.

Marketing
NOW

Going full throttle on reach

The website was the start. We now run campaigns on Google, Meta and TikTok aimed at day trippers, holidaymakers and locals. With our own photography as fuel we make content that stops the scroll: seasonal offers, events, sunsets. Every month we read the numbers and steer towards what actually brings guests in.
